Cop from the past

Series Cop from the past — 3 season, 12 episode

Description:

Story

Captain Oleg Dolin awakens after spending twenty years in a coma, returning to a country, a police force, and a family that have continued without him. The world he remembers has vanished. His daughter has grown up, his former colleagues have built new lives, and everyday work now unfolds alongside gadgets, digital information, and unfamiliar methods of communication.

As Oleg tries to resume his place in law enforcement, the habits of a policeman shaped by the 1990s meet a changed approach to fighting crime. His return also brings personal uncertainty. Family ties, old loyalties, and the possibility of love all demand attention while he learns how to live in a time that moved forward without him.

Overview

Cop from the Past combines crime and comedy within a Ukrainian police series about adaptation, duty, and the awkward distance between memory and reality. The story follows Oleg's attempt to reconnect with service and ordinary life after an absence long enough to transform everyone around him. Professional instincts from another era create friction with modern technology and new social habits, giving the drama room for both investigation and situational humor.

Directed by Oleg Borschevsky, the series balances police themes with family tensions and the challenge of rebuilding personal relationships. This twelfth episode of the third season continues that broader journey, keeping the focus on Oleg's return to law enforcement and his effort to find a place in the life that awaits him.

Cast and Characters

Dmitry Surzhykov leads the ensemble as the returning police captain, Oleg Dolin. Olga Grishina, Sergey Derevyanko, Daryna Trehubova, and Mykhailo Kryshtal join him in the principal cast. Their characters form the professional and personal circle surrounding Oleg as he confronts a transformed police service, a grown daughter, and relationships altered by the passage of time.
