Story
This episode continues the crime comedy about police captain Oleg Dolin, whose life takes an extraordinary turn after he emerges from a twenty-year coma. Returning to a world transformed by technology, new habits, and unfamiliar rules, Oleg must find his place in a police service that bears little resemblance to the one he remembers. His daughter has grown up, former colleagues have built lives of their own, and the personal ties he once relied on now carry fresh uncertainty.
Episode 9 keeps the focus on Oleg's difficult adjustment to the present. His old-fashioned instincts meet a faster, more digital approach to police work, while the memory of the 1990s continues to shape his understanding of justice, loyalty, and duty. The result is a blend of investigative tension, family complications, and comedy rooted in the contrast between two very different eras.
Overview
Cop from the Past is a Ukrainian crime comedy directed by Oleg Borschevsky. The series follows a police captain forced to rebuild his professional and private life after losing two decades to a coma. Its premise brings together police investigations, workplace friction, and the emotional strain of returning to a family that has continued living without him.
The story draws its atmosphere from the collision of old police methods with modern devices and changing social expectations. Oleg's experience remains valuable, yet the environment around him demands flexibility, patience, and a willingness to understand a world that has moved forward in his absence.
