Story
Police captain Oleg Dolin returns to a life he no longer recognizes after emerging from a twenty-year coma. The city, the police force and everyday communication have all moved into a new era, while the methods that once defined his work belong to a very different time. As Oleg attempts to rejoin law enforcement, he must learn how to confront crime in a world shaped by technology and unfamiliar routines. His return also brings personal complications: his daughter has grown up, former colleagues have built new lives, and the family future he remembers can no longer be restored as it was.
This episode continues Oleg's uneasy adjustment to the present, combining a police investigation setting with the comic tension created by his outdated habits, direct approach and determination to remain useful.
Overview
Cop from the Past is a Ukrainian crime comedy series directed by Oleg Borschevsky. The story brings together police drama and situational humor as a captain shaped by the 1990s tries to find his place inside a modern law enforcement system. Digital devices, changed professional standards and new social expectations create obstacles that are as challenging as the cases themselves.
The series balances the consequences of a long absence with a lighter look at generational change. Alongside the investigation-driven plot, it explores Oleg's attempts to rebuild trust, reconnect with his family and understand the people who continued living while he was gone. This is the second episode of the third season.
