Story
This episode follows police captain Oleg Dolin as he continues adapting to a life that moved far beyond the world he once knew. After spending two decades in a coma, Oleg must find his place in a changed police service, where familiar methods have given way to new technology and unfamiliar routines. His return brings personal uncertainty as well as professional challenges, with family ties, old loyalties, and his sense of duty all requiring a fresh understanding.
The episode carries the series' blend of crime investigation and comedy, placing a lawman shaped by the 1990s against the habits and expectations of a very different era. Oleg's persistence keeps him connected to the work he believes in, while the people around him reveal how dramatically his absence has altered their lives.
Overview
Cop from the Past is a Ukrainian crime comedy directed by Oleg Borschevsky. The series centers on the collision between traditional police experience and the digital routines of contemporary life. Its tone combines professional tension with domestic complications, allowing the story to move between law enforcement, family relationships, and the everyday difficulties of starting over.
This is the fourth episode of the third season, continuing Oleg Dolin's adjustment to modern policing and to a society that no longer resembles the one he remembers. The contrast creates room for humor while keeping the character's return to service grounded in questions of trust, responsibility, and belonging.
