Story
As the hunt for answers in the Tjuvholmen case continues, Lars Haaland becomes his own worst enemy. His determination to move the investigation forward begins to work against him, and the episode follows him through a tense stretch of the inquiry. The mystery surrounding the beforeigners is still far from resolved.
The story stays focused on the consequences of the investigation rather than revealing the larger answers behind it. The atmosphere remains uneasy and investigative, shaped by the collision between a familiar police case and a world transformed by the arrival of people from other eras.
Overview
Beforeigners is a Norwegian science-fiction drama with fantasy elements, set in a near future where powerful flashes of light appear in the ocean and people from the Stone Age, the Viking era, and the late nineteenth century emerge in the present day. Known as beforeigners, these arrivals have created a society divided by radically different backgrounds, customs, and ideas of belonging.
The series centers on police officer Lars Haaland and Alfhildr, a woman from the Viking Age, whose professional partnership begins with the investigation of a beforeigner's murder. In this fifth episode of the first season, the Tjuvholmen case puts Lars under particular pressure as he pursues answers. The blend of police drama, speculative mystery, and social tension gives the episode a measured, unsettling tone.
