Rabble — 1 season, 3 episode

Story

This is the third episode of the first season of Rabble, a series centered on Koval, a lonely investigator for whom work is the only meaning of life. He is waiting for a place in the NBR, the department that investigates the most complex murders. Around him, a team of eccentric but loyal professionals is becoming something like a family, while Koval's own secrets remain the most painful part of the story.

The series combines a detective framework with dry comedy and personal drama. Its intrigue grows from the contrast between demanding investigative work and the complicated bonds forming within the team. Koval's professional dedication, guarded nature, and need for connection create a tense emotional undercurrent beneath the case-driven setting.

Overview

Rabble is a Ukrainian detective comedy-drama from 2026, directed by Julia Pavlova. The series follows a group of unconventional investigators brought together by difficult murder cases and the pressures of working side by side. Their loyalty gives the department a sense of belonging, while Koval's unresolved secrets add a more intimate dimension to the story. The episode runs about 45 minutes.

The tone moves between procedural tension, character-based humor, and subdued emotional drama. Rather than presenting investigation as a purely technical pursuit, the series gives equal weight to the people behind the work: their habits, their mistrust, their loyalty, and their growing reliance on one another.

Cast and Characters

The cast includes Sergey Strelnikov, Vera Kobzar, Tamara Morozova, Anastasia Korol, and Anastasia Rula. At the heart of the story is Koval, a driven investigator whose private life remains closely guarded, surrounded by a team of distinctive professionals.
