Story
Sam and Dean Winchester face a case that sounds almost absurd: a group of ghosts is trying to shut down the production of a movie that they feel mocks them. What begins as trouble around a film shoot turns the set into the center of a supernatural confrontation.
As the brothers investigate, ordinary on-set routine mixes with the familiar dangers of the hunt. Sam and Dean have to work out what the spirits want and how far they may go, while keeping the people around them safe.
Overview
This is the eighteenth episode of the second season of Supernatural, which runs about 43 minutes. The series follows brothers Sam and Dean Winchester as they crisscross America in their '67 Chevy Impala, hunting ghosts, spirits and other supernatural threats. Along the way they stay on the trail of the demon who killed their mother. Season 2 pushes the brothers deeper into the mystery of their own destinies.
The movie production at the heart of this story gives the episode a distinctive setting. A familiar entertainment environment becomes unsettling when restless spirits object to the film being made. The result is a supernatural mystery with a darkly playful premise, in keeping with the series' blend of detective story, fantasy and family drama.
Cast and Characters
Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles star as Sam and Dean Winchester, brothers raised to hunt the paranormal. They approach the haunting from different perspectives but work as a team, and their bond remains the emotional core of the episode.
