Story
Police captain Oleg Dolin awakens from a coma after two decades and finds himself in a country that has changed beyond recognition. The world of his former service, shaped by the habits and dangers of the 1990s, has given way to digital communication, new police methods, and unfamiliar rules of daily life. As Oleg tries to return to law enforcement, he must also reconnect with a daughter who has grown up without him and face the distance that time has created within his family.
The episode follows the series' blend of crime investigation and comedy, placing an old-school officer in situations where instinct, experience, and a rapidly changing society rarely point in the same direction.
Overview
Cop from the Past is a Ukrainian crime comedy directed by Oleg Borschevsky. Its central premise combines a police story with the personal challenges of a man forced to begin his life again after an extraordinary interruption. Oleg's return to service brings him into contact with modern technology, altered professional customs, and colleagues whose lives have continued while his own stood still.
The series balances investigations with family tension and culture-clash humor. This episode, part of the show's second season, offers a continuation of Oleg's difficult adjustment, where the demands of police work meet questions of trust, belonging, and the possibility of rebuilding a life that disappeared years earlier.
