Rabble (2026)

Story

Koval has built his life around police work, leaving little room for anything beyond the next case. A lonely investigator, he is waiting for the opportunity to join the NBR, the department that handles the most complex murder investigations. For him, the prospect represents a long-awaited chance to prove himself where the stakes are highest.

Around him is a team of eccentric but loyal professionals whose unusual habits conceal experience and a strong sense of solidarity. As Koval works alongside them, the group gradually becomes a substitute family. Alongside the cases, he must contend with secrets of his own, which carry a more personal and painful weight than any investigation.

Overview

Rabble combines detective intrigue, comedy, and drama in a Ukrainian series directed by Julia Pavlova. The story places complex murder investigations beside the everyday dynamics of an unusual professional team, allowing suspense and humor to develop within the same workplace. Its central focus remains Koval, whose devotion to his career has shaped his identity and set him apart from ordinary human connections.

The series is built on the contrast between demanding criminal work and the warmth of a found family. The team's growing closeness gives the story an emotional dimension, while Koval's personal secrets keep the human stakes close to the surface even as the investigations continue.
