Series One Tree Hill — 1 season, 21 episode

Story

Lucas is stunned to learn that Dan once asked Karen for joint custody of him when he was a baby, a revelation that casts new light on the long-standing distance between father and son. Meanwhile, Peyton is babysitting Jake’s baby when Nicki takes the child, and panic quickly sets in.

The episode brings two very different family crises into focus. Lucas must face the possibility that his childhood was shaped by choices he never knew about, while Peyton finds herself in a situation far beyond her control. Secrets, unresolved resentment and the responsibilities of parenthood drive the drama, keeping the story grounded in the intimate relationships that define One Tree Hill.

Overview

One Tree Hill is an American drama set in Tree Hill, North Carolina, where basketball connects two half-brothers who have grown up on opposite sides of the town’s social divide. Lucas is a quiet, determined player raised by his single mother, Karen. Nathan enjoys wealth, recognition and a leading place on his high school team. Their shared father, Dan Scott, has built his life around Nathan while leaving Lucas and Karen to carry the consequences of his earlier decisions.

As the brothers are brought together through basketball, rivalry exposes old wounds and challenges the identities each has created for himself. The series combines family tensions, romantic complications and the pressure of adolescence, giving its characters room to confront loyalty, abandonment and the need to choose their own path.

Cast and Characters

The series features James Lafferty, Bethany Joy Lenz, Sophia Anna Bush, Austin Nichols and Paul Johansson.
