Overview

One Tree Hill follows the intertwined lives of Lucas and Nathan Scott, half-brothers raised in sharply different circumstances in Tree Hill, North Carolina. Lucas has grown up with his mother Karen, finding confidence and belonging on the river court, while Nathan enjoys wealth, popularity, and the status of a high school basketball star. Their shared father, Dan, has built a life around Nathan while leaving Lucas and Karen behind, creating a resentment that reaches into every family relationship.

Basketball brings the brothers into direct competition, while romance and old wounds draw them into a conflict that extends far beyond the court. The drama explores identity, parental influence, rivalry, and the search for independence within a family defined by choices made years earlier. The series was created by Mark Schwahn and produced in the United States.
