Overview
Set against the polished seaside backdrop of the Hamptons, this episode combines wedding festivities, romantic uncertainty and the candid conversations that define the series. Its four central friends approach changing relationships from very different positions: Carrie revisits a complicated acquaintance, Charlotte faces the public side of commitment, Miranda continues adjusting to life with a child, and Samantha turns a weekend visit into a major event. The comedy grows from social embarrassment and clashing expectations, while the drama comes through the characters’ shifting ideas about love, independence and family.

The Hamptons setting gives the group a temporary change of scenery while preserving the sharp exchanges and personal dilemmas at the heart of the show.
