NCIS

Series NCIS — 2 season, 21 episode

Description:

Story

A young Marine is killed while serving in Iraq, and the investigation soon reaches back to his hometown. Before his deployment, local police had questioned him in connection with the disappearance and murder of a young girl. When NCIS agents examine his personal belongings, evidence linked to the old case comes to light, giving the police reason to suspect that the corpsman was responsible.

Gibbs remains unconvinced by the accusation. Working with Faith Coleman, he revisits the original investigation and searches for the facts that may have been overlooked. The case connects a wartime death with a buried mystery, placing the team between military procedure, local suspicion, and a family still waiting for answers.

Overview

NCIS combines crime investigation, military drama, action, and suspense through cases involving Navy and Marine Corps personnel. Its agents handle investigations that can reach from murder and espionage to terrorism, while the work often demands careful attention to the victim's service history and private life.

This episode has a tense investigative atmosphere, built around conflicting versions of the past and the pressure to deliver a quick judgment. The contrast between a death in Iraq and an unresolved hometown crime gives the story a broad scope while keeping the focus on evidence, professional instinct, and the search for the truth.
