NCIS

Series NCIS — 2 season, 10 episode

Description:

Story

While working undercover as an escaped prisoner, Tony becomes entangled with a dangerous thief who possesses the key to a valuable ancient Iraqi sculpture. The operation takes an unexpected turn when the GPS locator Abby placed on him suddenly stops transmitting. With Tony cut off from the team and his cover placing him within reach of a ruthless criminal, the NCIS investigators must trace his movements before the mission ends in murder.

The episode combines undercover tension with a race against time, keeping the focus on Tony's precarious position and the team's increasingly difficult search. His assumed identity offers protection only as long as the criminal accepts his story, while the missing signal leaves his colleagues with very little to guide them.

Overview

NCIS follows a team of special agents handling cases connected to Navy and Marine Corps personnel. Their investigations range from murder and espionage to terrorism, theft, and threats involving military secrets. The series blends action, crime, adventure, and drama with procedural investigation and the distinctive pressures of service-related cases.

This episode places the team in a covert operation shaped by deception, criminal greed, and the search for an ancient artifact. Donald P. Bellisario's series gives equal weight to fieldwork and investigation, moving between Tony's dangerous assignment and the team's effort to recover contact with him.

Cast and Characters

Sean Murray and Mark Harmon are part of the principal cast. The episode centers on Tony, whose undercover role forces him to remain close to a fugitive criminal, while Abby contributes crucial technical support by tracking his location. Their work reflects the show's ensemble dynamic, where agents in the field depend on colleagues with investigative and technological expertise.
