Story
After a late-night visit from the senator behind Oklahoma’s Masked Policing Legislation, FBI agent Laurie Blake travels to Tulsa to take over a recent murder investigation. Her arrival brings federal attention to a case already surrounded by political tension. Elsewhere, the Lord of the Manor receives a harshly worded letter and responds to it, adding a separate thread of unease to the episode.
Set within the alternate history of Watchmen, the story follows authority figures whose methods and loyalties are difficult to read. The investigation carries a restrained crime-drama atmosphere, while the surrounding world keeps the series’ fantasy-inflected sense of danger and uncertainty.
