Series Succession — 3 season, 1 episode

Story

Following a public statement that puts him at the center of the Roy family’s power struggle, Kendall moves quickly to establish a base of operations. His challenge extends beyond making his position heard: he must gather support while facing a company and family already under intense pressure. Across the divide, Logan’s team searches for a secure place from which to respond.

The episode picks up in the immediate aftermath of that announcement, in a volatile contest shaped by loyalty, reputation, and access to power. Kendall’s attempt to turn momentum into influence collides with Logan’s effort to protect his position, while the wider corporate conflict threatens to draw relatives and allies into opposing camps. The tension remains personal even when the stakes reach the boardroom and the world of media.

Overview

Succession combines comedy and drama in a story about the Roy family, whose control of a vast media and entertainment company has made them one of the most powerful families in their world. Their private relationships carry the same weight as their business decisions, creating an atmosphere where every alliance may carry a personal cost.

This opening episode of Season 3 carries forward a bitter corporate confrontation and focuses on the immediate fallout from Kendall’s attempt to challenge Logan. Familial loyalty, political connections, and financial interests overlap as both sides look for dependable allies. The result is a tense, sharply observed chapter about influence, ambition, and the difficulty of separating family grievances from corporate strategy.
