Overview
Episode 2 of The Heirs continues the collision of privilege and longing set against an exclusive South Korean high school. The series, released in 2013, blends melodrama and comedy, following heirs and outsiders whose lives intersect through family power and personal desire. This installment follows the immediate fallout of Cha Eun-sang's arrival in Kim Tan's world, showing how a single day in a wealthy heir's household can expose the social fault lines that run through the characters' lives.
Cast and Characters
Starring Lee Min-ho, Kim Ji-won, Park Hyung-sik, Kim Woo-bin, and Park Shin-hye, the show assembles a cast that navigates rivalry, loyalty, and young attraction. The episode centers on three figures whose tensions are already forming: Kim Tan, the exiled heir struggling with his place in a powerful family; Cha Eun-sang, a newcomer from Korea searching for her older sister; and Rachel Yoo, Tan's fiancée whose unexpected arrival sets the episode's conflict in motion.
Story
Eun-sang finds herself spending a day under Kim Tan's roof, getting an unexpected glimpse into the life of the ultra-wealthy. The arrangement is uneasy from the start, and it becomes far more complicated when Rachel Yoo appears — displeased to find another young woman making herself at home in Tan's residence. The episode uses this charged domestic encounter to deepen the rivalry and romantic tension that will drive the season forward.
