Story
An NCIS team faces a troubling investigation aboard an aircraft carrier after several sailors die from drug overdoses. The case becomes especially difficult because none of the victims has a known history of drug abuse. Seeking answers, the agents examine the circumstances surrounding the deaths and trace the connection between the sailors, while an NCIS agent who once worked under Gibbs turns to the team for help.
The episode combines military procedure, crime investigation and espionage-driven tension. Its central mystery develops through the contrast between the victims' spotless records and the circumstances of their deaths, placing the agents in a setting where rank, duty and access may all hold significance.
