This is a story of friendship, love and betrayal, stretching over decades, and the attempts of six friends to outlast them. After World War II, Berlin lies in ruins and divided into four sectors. A curfew has been introduced here, blackouts and blockades are constantly occurring. Under the constant hum of "raisin bombers", several teenagers are united in the group "Wolves" and swears eternal friendship.
Each of them affected the war in its own way. Berndt is a fearless daredevil, a Jew Jacob survived the Holocaust and intends to survive in post-war Germany. Both are fighting for the heart of Lotta, who dreams of becoming a singer. The company is complemented by the stylish lifeblood Silke, the young socialist Kurt with a long tongue and big heart, and Ralph - Lotte's stubborn younger brother.
