PETROV VLADIMIR MIKHAYLOVICH Director, screenwriter, actor. People's Artist of the USSR (1950). He studied at the Law Faculty of St. Petersburg University, at the drama department of the drama school at the Alexandrinsky Theater. He graduated from the Odessa school ensigns, served in the army. Simonov, Menshikov - M.I. Zharov, Catherine - A.K. Tarasov. The intense atmosphere of the epoch of Peter recreated by the director captured the viewer, made him a participant in all the vicissitudes of his fast-paced and eventful life. The battle scenes of the time of Peter the Great were filmed extensively and expressively.
