Honored Artist of the RSFSR (08/11/1980). He began acting in films while still a student at the Leningrad Military Mechanical Institute (graduated in 1957). He appeared on the screen in the role of Vali Solntsev in the film "First Echelon". Working as a design engineer (until 1959) at one of the Leningrad factories, Kozhevnikov starred in the films “On the Island of Dalny”, “They met on the way”, “The Tale of the newlyweds”. The role of Vitya Gromoboyeva in the “Intractables” became the “lucky ticket” to the cinema: Alexey Kozhevnikov leaves the factory and becomes a full-time actor of the Lenfilm studio. His last work was a role in the musical comedy "Jack Vosmorkin - American", which came out after his death. He died in Leningrad on September 6, 1986. The actor was buried at the Bolsheokhtinsky cemetery.
