Isaak Kaplan

Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1976). People's Artist of the Russian Federation (1996). Born December 12, 1924 in Moscow. In 1950 he graduated from the art faculty of VGIK (workshop I. Spinel, F. Bogorodsky). Since 1953 - art director of the film studio "Lenfilm". He worked as a production designer at the Akimov Comedy Theater, the Pushkin Leningrad Theater. Solo exhibitions: * Leningrad House of Cinema (1975), * LOSH (1985), Summer Garden (Tea House, 1993). Collective exhibitions: * "60 years of cinema" (1955, Museum of Modern Art, Paris), * All-Union exhibitions of works by artists of the theater, film and television (1967, 1987; Manezh Central Exhibition Hall, Moscow), * Russian Artists of St. Petersburg (1994, St. Lawrence Church, Aachen, Germany), * To the 100th Anniversary Dygileva "(1997, Dyagilev Center, St. Petersburg) and others. He died on May 19, 1997 in St. Petersburg.
