Honored Artist of the RSFSR (06/11/1982). Mother Rebekah Rufina served in the Kharkov Jewish Theater before the war. And after the war, in Mukachevo, in Russian, where she played many characteristic roles in A.N. Ostrovsky. His father, Maurice Lyampe, was a jewel of the Jewish troupe in Poland. He was considered one of the three best performers of the role of Tevye in the world theater. During the war years he was captured and died in the Vilnius ghetto. In 1947 he graduated from college at GOSET and until 1949 played in this theater. In 1949-1961 - actor of the Moscow Regional Ostrovsky Theater. Since 1961 - an actor in the Theater on Malaya Bronnaya, headed the troupe. In the early 1990s, he emigrated to Israel, where he worked in the Gesher Theater. Actor is buried in Tel Aviv, Yarkon cemetery, Israel.
