Honored Artist of the RSFSR (03/27/1965). People's Artist of the RSFSR (1983). Father - Khityaev Ivan Yakovlevich, an engineer-economist, during the Great Patriotic War, worked at a military factory. Mother - Khityaeva Vera Ivanovna, medical officer of the 1st rank. After finishing school in 1948, at the age of 18, Ludmila entered the Gorky Theater School. She came to conduct a friend who was to face the entrance exam, but suddenly asked the commission: "Listen to me too." Lyudmila inspiredly read Katerina’s famous monologue from A.N. Ostrovsky was accepted. In 1952, after graduating from the drama school, she was enrolled in the troupe of the Gorky Drama Theater, where she worked for 9 years. She played in the performances "Dance Teacher", "In Good Hour!", "Yegor Bulychev and others."
