In his youth, was fond of boxing, water polo and mountain tourism. He started writing songs from the age of 14. In the army he served in the border troops in Kamchatka. After the army he entered the Kiev Institute of National Economy (a branch in the city of Krivoy Rog, Ukraine), having graduated from it, he worked as deputy chief accountant at the Domodedovo carpet factory. He participated in various music author's competitions, and in 1988 became the winner of the Warsaw Author Song Contest dedicated to the work of V.S. Vysotsky. In 1992, he worked as a manager in the production center of Igor Matvienko. In the same year he entered GITIS in the department of pop direction to I.G. Sharoeva and created his own musical group "Numbers". In 1999 he released his first album "Bird Love". In the same 1999, the international acting agency invited Dmitry Persin to play the main role in the Israeli film "Dots", according to the scenario of the Russian émigré writer, who insisted that the real man-prototype Dmitry Persin should play the hero. The filming did not take place, but the data of the actor came to several Russian acting agencies. In parallel with the Israeli history, director Pavel Ursul invited him to his acclaimed theatrical project "Chapaev and the Void". In 37 years, Dmitry began his acting career.
