At the age of fifteen, Anna entered the Yaroslavl Theater School, while studying, she married Alexander Samokhin’s classmate. After graduating from college in 1982, they were assigned to work in the Rostov-on-Don Theater for Young Spectators. On November 1, 1983, the young spouses had a daughter, Alexander, who, like her parents, became an actress. In 2004, her daughter graduated from the St. Petersburg Academy of Theater Arts and has already acted in films, played in enterprise performances with her mother. In 1987, Anna Samokhina receives the main female role, Mercedes, in George Jungvald-Khilkevich’s film “Prisoner of the Chateau d'If” by George Dumas “The Count of Monte-Cristo”. This film debut turned out to be very successful for the actress, and in 1988 the director Yuri Kara invited Anna Samokhina to play in his film Thieves in Law. This film, based on the stories of Fazil Iskander, in which many wonderful actors played, was greeted with enthusiasm by the public - which could not be said of critics.
