Konstantin Chikin

Konstantin Ivanovich Chikin (March 6, 1927 - March 27, 1994) - Soviet and Ukrainian animator, director of animated films. Member of the Union of Cinematographers of the Ukrainian SSR. Born in the town of Lukoyanov in the family of an employee. He studied at the Moscow School of Industrial Art (1945-47). In 1948 he graduated from the courses of animators, chaired by I. P. Ivanov-Vano (fourth edition), worked as a multiplier at the Soyuzmultfilm studio (1950-67). In the summer of 1966 he graduated from one-year evening courses organized on the basis of VGIK. Since 1967 - in the Creative Association of artistic animation studio "Kievnauchfilm." Since 1973 - director of the studio "Kievnauchfilm." Worked in hand-drawn animation. Member of ASIFA.
