Leonid Leontevich Kayukov (June 11, 1938) - Soviet and Russian director-animator, production designer, artist and screenwriter. In 1970, he graduated from the Moscow Polygraphic Institute, in 1972 - the cartoon courses of the magazine "Crocodile". In 1960-1999, he worked at the Soyuzmultfilm film studio, first as an animator, since 1972 - as a director. He taught animation in Almaty, Chisinau, St. Petersburg, Dresden and Moscow. In the mid-1990s, he was deputy director of Soyuzmultfilm for production, led the project Bear Rescue Service, until 1996 he was a member of the Executive Board of Soyuzmultfilm Studio. Since 2000 - director of the studio "Magic Lantern". Works as a book illustrator. In animation he worked with artists: Maria Rudachenko, Elizabeth Zharova, Tatyana Kolyusheva and others.
