Yury Prytkov

Yury Alexandrovich Prytkov (1920–2011) - Soviet animated film director, cartoon artist. Born on March 17, 1920 in the city of Bronnitsy (now the Moscow Region). Member of the Great Patriotic War. From 1948, he worked as a multiplier artist at the Soyuzmultfilm studio after graduating from courses at a film studio, from 1962 onwards, after completing courses from animation directors at VGIK. After retiring with his wife illustrated children's books. Member of ASIFA. He passed away on January 15, 2011. He was buried in Moscow at the Novodevichy cemetery.
