Vera Bendina

Vera Dmitrievna Bendina (1900-1974) - Soviet actress. People's Artist of the RSFSR (1948). Born on September 10 (23), 1900 in the village of Krasny Yar (now the Samara Region). Pupil E. B. Vakhtangov (1917-1922). She studied at the Third Studio of the Moscow Art Theater (1921-1924). In 1924–1964 - actress in the Moscow Art Theater troupe. She played lyrical, comedy and sharply character roles. She worked on the radio and voiced cartoons (“Fedya Zaitsev”, “Isle of mistakes”, “The Snow Queen” and others). She died on October 8, 1974 in Moscow. She was buried at the Novodevichy cemetery (station number 2, row 10).
