From 1985 to 1988, Igor Kornelyuk worked as the music director of the Leningrad Buff Theater. In 1985, the composer's phonographic debut took place: the company "Melody" released the minion "A boy with a girl was friends." In 1988, his new song "Ballet Ticket" became the winner of the television festival. Igor Kornelyuk wrote over 100 songs, the author of the music for the performances "Trumpeter in the Square" (Leningrad Pushkin Theater, (1982), "Tic-Tac-Toe" (Comedy Theater, 1985), opera for children "Push-Pull or Aybolit from Zverinskaya Street" ( Music Hall, 1988).
