Pernille Fischer Christensen

Pernilla Fisher Christensen (born December 24, 1969) is a Danish director and older sister of actor Stein Fisher Christensen. In 1993, she went to the European Film College, where she met and collaborated with Nanna Arnfred. In 1999, she graduated from the Danish National Film School with the film Indien, which later won the third Cinéfondations Award at the Cannes Film Festival. After graduating from a film school, she directed the short film Habibti My Love. Her first feature film “En Soap” (English name: “Soap”) was released in 2006. The film starred Trina Dirholm as the owner of a beauty salon, and David Denchik as the transsexual Veronica. The film opened at the Berlin Film Festival and was awarded the Silver Bear Grand Prix and became the first winner in the "Best First Game Prize" nomination. Later, the film also received several prizes in Denmark, including “Butil” for the best film. The film has also been nominated for Robert's 15 awards, including Best Film and Best Screenplay. However, he won only four awards: Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Editor, and Best Makeup. Her 2010 film “Family” was presented at the 60th Berlin International Film Festival.
