Zinovy Gerdt
Honored Artist of the RSFSR (9/05/1959). People's Artist of the RSFSR (1969). People's Artist of the USSR (07/09/1990). In 1945-1982 - an actor in the troupe of the Central Puppet Theater under the direction of S. V. Obraztsova; Since 1983 - the actor of the theater named after M. N. Ermolova. Master of episodic, mostly comedic roles. He had a beautiful memorable voice timbre, worked a lot on dubbing and dubbing films from the author. Zinoviy Efimovich was over 50, when Peter Todorovsky gave him the main role in his film "The Magician". The first presenter of "Kinopanorama". Already being mortally ill, he was in charge of the “Tea Club” program. He died in Moscow on November 18, 1996. He was buried on November 21 at the Kuntsevo Cemetery of Moscow (station number 10). In 1998 in Kiev in the square on Proreznaya Street, a monument to the character was opened - Panikovsky performed by Gerdt (the hero of the famous book by Ilf and Petrov worked as a blind man at the corner of Kreshchatik and Proreznaya). The second wife is Arabic translator Tatyana Pravdina, adopted daughter Ekaterina Gerdt.
