Ramiz Fataliyev

In 1969, he graduated from the Azerbaijan Institute of Oil and Chemical Industry and immediately entered the Higher Courses of Scriptwriters and Directors (VKSiR) at VGIK, which he graduated in 1972. Since 1973, Ramiz Fataliyev is a professional screenwriter. According to his scenarios, more than 30 feature films were produced at various film studios of the USSR, including the name of A. Dovzhenko, the name of M. Gorky, and Mosfilm. Among these films - "Git", "Without Witnesses", "The Sixth". In the Soviet years, he was vice-president of the All-Union Association of a detective and political novel, a member of the Writers' Union and the Union of Cinematographers of the USSR. From 1986, he worked as an editor-in-chief at Azerbaijanfilm. In 1987, R. Fataliyev was elected director of the Azerbaijanfilm film studio; he left this post in 1995. In 1990-1995, he was a people's deputy of Azerbaijan, a member of the Milli-Majlis, headed the standing parliamentary commission on human rights and interethnic relations. Among the last films by Ramiz Fataliyev are the television series “The Truth of the Moment” (Azerbaijan) and “The Count Krestovsky” (Russia).
