Emilia Milton

Honored Artist of the RSFSR (03/08/1960). Her father was a pharmacist and bacteriologist, and her mother was a housewife. In 1909, the Milton family moved to Odessa, where Emilia entered the state gymnasium and graduated from it in 1919. Earlier, in the spring of 1918, while still studying at the gymnasium, she simultaneously began to study at the drama school at the theater studio of Gubnarobraz, under the direction of A. I. Adasheva, from which she graduated in 1920. Together with the graduation of the school, she participated in the creation of the Massodram theater in Odessa (the Social Drama Workshop), on the stage of which she played Dorimen in The Bourgeois in the Nobility, Harlequin in Turandot, Louise in The Feast during the Plague.
