He graduated from the Moscow Art Theater School in 1983 (course of VK Monyukov) and was accepted into the theater troupe. In the Art Theater he played in the play “The Most Important” (Actor in the Role of Lovers) Roman Kozak and “Marriage” (Anuchkin). In 1988-1990 played in the Studio Theater "Man", in 1990-1991. - in the Theater named after K.S. Stanislavsky. He was one of the leading actors of the Fifth Studio MHAT. Put the play "Bashmachkin" by "The Overcoat" N.V. Gogol (agency "Bogis"). In the Theater “Et cetera” plays in the performances: “The Dark Lady of the Sonnets” (Sentinel), “Shylock” (Prince of Aragon, Prince of Moroccan). Since 1989 - teacher of the Moscow Art Theater School-Studio, taught acting in Paris. Director of the Central House of Actor named after A.A. Yablochkina. Since 2013 - Rector of the Moscow Art Theater School. Honored Artist of the Russian Federation (2002).
