After graduating in 1973 from the directing and ballet master department of the theater directing department of the Leningrad Institute of Culture, where he worked on the course of A.L. Madievsky, became an actor of the Ashgabat TYuza. In 1975, he returned to Leningrad, worked as an assistant director at the Lenfilm film studio, and in 1978–1988 was an actor at the Lenkontsert, wrote pop monologues and worked in the theater of fashion. In 1980 he graduated from the creative workshop of pop art. In the 1990s, he played at the Drama and Comedy Theater on Liteiny (St. Petersburg).
