Overview

One Tree Hill is a character-driven drama set in a North Carolina town where school, family and basketball shape the lives of its young residents. This is the third episode of Season 3. The series centers on Lucas and Nathan Scott, half brothers who share a surname and little else. Lucas is a brooding, blue-collar player whose talent is appreciated mostly by his friends at the river court. Nathan is the popular, affluent star of the high school team. Both are tied to Dan Scott, whose long-ago decision to abandon Lucas and his mother Karen continues to affect everyone around him.

This episode mixes relationship drama with the continuing mystery of the dealership fire. A marriage faces an uncomfortable question, a personal search turns up something deeper than expected, and one man's suspicions begin to unsettle those closest to him. Fans of emotional family stories set against the competitive world of high school basketball will find plenty here to follow.
