Series The Big Bang Theory — 4 season, 9 episode

Story

Penny asks Leonard to lie to her father, which puts him in an awkward position between honesty and his wish to help her. Meanwhile, Howard, Raj and Bernadette spend the night at a telescope, working through an all-nighter together.

The episode pairs relationship comedy with the group’s familiar interest in science. Two storylines unfold side by side: one centered on Leonard and Penny, the other on three friends keeping watch through the long night. Awkward social situations and the everyday quirks of this close-knit circle drive the humor in both.
