Game of Thrones: 2 Season

Series Game of Thrones: 2 Season (2012)

Description:

Story

Nine noble families fight for control over the lands of Westeros, and their ambitions set rival houses against one another. Competing claims, shifting loyalties and the pressure of power drive a tense drama in which every decision carries consequences for those who seek influence and those who try to protect their position.

While the families contend for dominance, an ancient enemy that has been dormant for millennia begins to return. The threat reaches beyond any single house and places the political rivalries against a far older and more dangerous force.

Overview

This is the second season of Game of Thrones, a British-American series from 2012 that combines drama and adventure with fantastical elements in a broad story about power and survival. The struggle for control of Westeros remains at the centre, while the returning enemy adds a larger sense of danger to the family rivalries.

Brian Kirk, Alan Taylor and Daniel Minahan are among the directors who shaped the series. Its ensemble format brings several storylines together in one shared world and lets the drama examine different sides of the same conflict, from those pursuing control to those facing forces beyond ordinary politics.

Cast and Characters

The ensemble cast includes Liam Cunningham, Lena Headey, Kit Harington, Sophie Turner and Joseph Dempsie. Their characters are drawn into the contest for Westeros, where rivalry, allegiance and the need to answer a returning threat are closely intertwined.

The cast supports the series' shifting focus between family conflict and the ancient danger on the horizon, giving the drama room for both intimate personal choices and an expansive adventure.
