Story
A successful Kyiv businesswoman has built a career that earns the approval of company management and the resentment of nearly everyone on her team. Her subordinates decide that the only way to get a break from their demanding boss is to arrange a forced vacation far from the office. Soon, she finds herself in the Ukrainian Carpathians, surrounded by unfamiliar landscapes, unexpected challenges and people she never expected to meet.
What begins as an unwanted escape develops into a chain of comic and heartfelt situations. Away from her usual authority and daily routine, the heroine faces surprises that unsettle her carefully ordered life. New encounters bring hidden tensions to the surface and create relationships capable of changing the way the characters see themselves and one another.
Overview
Blind Vacation combines melodrama and comedy in a story about work, personal boundaries and the consequences of trying to control every part of life. The Ukrainian Carpathians provide a vivid setting for a journey that moves from workplace conflict toward emotional discovery, with humor arising from the clash between a powerful executive's habits and the realities of an unfamiliar environment.
Directed by Valeriia Fadieieva, the film follows a woman whose carefully maintained image begins to shift when she is removed from the world where she holds the upper hand. Its central premise leaves room for lively situations, unexpected acquaintances and a more personal look at the cost of professional success. The Ukrainian production balances a light comic tone with the emotional turns of a modern melodrama.
