Story

Los Angeles, 1949. Mickey Cohen has built a criminal empire that reaches from the city’s streets into its police force and political circles. Drugs, weapons, prostitution and illegal betting provide the money, while paid enforcers protect the operation from anyone who might challenge it.

Sergeant John O’Mara refuses to accept a city ruled by fear and corruption. With the approval of his superiors, he assembles a discreet group of LAPD outsiders, each chosen for the skills and resolve needed to strike at Cohen’s organization. Jerry Wooters joins the effort, bringing his own methods and a more cynical outlook on the city’s dangerous underworld. As the squad closes in, every move carries the risk of exposure, retaliation and betrayal.
