Story
Basketball superstar LeBron James and his young son Dom are pulled into a digital world controlled by a rogue artificial intelligence. To find their way home, LeBron must assemble an unlikely team from the Looney Tunes roster, including Bugs Bunny and Lola Bunny. The animated characters bring plenty of energy and chaos to the court, while their opponents arrive as digitized champions created by the powerful AI. With family ties at the heart of the adventure, LeBron faces a high-stakes game that demands courage, cooperation, and a willingness to trust an unpredictable group of teammates.
As the Tunes prepare for their showdown with the Goons, their undisciplined style creates as many problems as it solves. The result is a fast-moving blend of live-action sports comedy, animation, science fiction, and fantasy, built around a journey through a strange digital space and a battle where every play carries personal consequences.
Overview
Space Jam: A New Legacy combines basketball spectacle with the distinctive comic world of the Looney Tunes. Directed by Malcolm D. Lee, the film brings together family adventure, science-fiction elements, fantasy, and broad physical humor. Its setting shifts between the familiar world of professional sport and a vivid digital environment filled with unusual challenges, animated personalities, and competitive stakes.
The story places the relationship between a father and son alongside the larger court contest. LeBron’s effort to protect Dom gives the game an emotional purpose, while the presence of Bugs, Lola, and their fellow Tunes keeps the tone playful and unpredictable. Viewers can expect a colorful team adventure with a strong emphasis on teamwork, imagination, and the comic friction between a disciplined athlete and a famously unruly animated squad.
