Story
On the freeways of Los Angeles, two California Highway Patrol motorcycle officers make their rounds, keeping traffic moving and responding to trouble on the road. Their patrols bring together action, crime, and comedy as routine rides turn into unpredictable adventures. Set against the busy roads of Southern California, CHiPS follows the pair through the hazards, encounters, and comic complications of life in highway law enforcement.
The film keeps its focus on the officers at work, using motorcycle patrols and the sprawling Los Angeles freeway system as the backdrop for a fast-moving crime comedy. The premise leaves room for physical action and lighter moments as the two patrolmen carry out their duties.
