Parental control
What do parental controls cover?
Parental controls apply to:
- Viewing channels and 18+ content
- Purchasing movies and paying for subscriptions — a PIN code is required to confirm a purchase
ℹ️ Please note: Purchase protection (PIN code for paid content) is not supported on Smart TV models prior to 2016 or on Philips TVs prior to 2024.
💡 We recommend enabling parental controls if children have access to your account — this will protect against accidental or unwanted purchases.
How to set up parental controls?
- Open the SWEET.TV website in your browser and sign in to your account.
- Click “Account” in the top-right corner.
- Go to the “Personal data” section.
- Find “Parental control” and click “Set up”.
- Enter a 4-digit PIN.
- Select the desired settings (check the boxes for where you want the PIN to be required).
- Save your changes.
ℹ️ We recommend saving your PIN. It cannot be deleted, but you can change or reset it.
How to change or reset your PIN?
If you’ve forgotten your PIN or want to change it:
- Open the SWEET.TV website in your browser and sign in.
- In the top-right corner, click “Account”.
- In the “Personal data” section, find “Parental control” and click “Set up”.
- Select “Change” to set a new PIN, or “Reset PIN” if you don’t remember your current one.
⚠️ Please note: It is not possible to completely remove the PIN code. You can only set up parental control or change the PIN code.
Which devices are covered by parental controls?
Parental controls apply to all devices linked to your account.
⚠️ Please note: Purchase protection (PIN code for paid content) is not supported on Smart TV models prior to 2016 or on Philips TVs prior to 2024.
What should I do if the PIN doesn’t work?
Use the “Remind PIN code” feature in the parental controls settings.
