Animation Chainsaw Man - The Movie: Reze Arc (2025)

Story

Denji has learned to survive in a world shaped by devils, hunters, and enemies who rarely reveal their true intentions. When Reze, a mysterious girl with her own connection to this dangerous reality, enters his life, his fragile sense of safety begins to shift. Their encounter draws Denji toward a conflict more brutal than any he has faced before, where affection and suspicion become impossible to separate.

As secret forces close in, Denji must confront a battle fueled by love as much as violence. The story places personal longing against a merciless struggle for survival, keeping its emotional stakes close to the action while preserving the unpredictable tension of the Chainsaw Man universe.

Overview

Chainsaw Man - The Movie: Reze Arc brings together action, melodrama, and fantasy in a Japanese animated feature directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara. Its world is harsh and volatile, populated by devils, hunters, and hidden adversaries whose motives remain difficult to read. Against that backdrop, the arrival of Reze introduces a more intimate source of danger, giving the story a tense emotional center.

The film balances violent confrontation with a relationship that complicates Denji's choices. Rather than treating its fantasy setting as distant spectacle, the narrative connects its supernatural conflict to fear, desire, trust, and the need to stay alive. The result is a high-stakes chapter built around the collision of tenderness and peril.

Cast and Characters

Kikunosuke Toya, Reina Ueda, Shiori Izawa, Tomori Kusunoki, and Shogo Sakata lead the voice cast. Denji stands at the center of the story, facing an increasingly dangerous test of his instincts and loyalties, while Reze brings mystery and emotional uncertainty into his world. Around them, hunters and opposing forces deepen the conflict between those seeking survival and those concealing their true aims.

The ensemble supports a story where character relationships carry the same weight as the supernatural action. Every encounter can reveal a new threat, a hidden motive, or a difficult choice, giving the film a tense and emotionally charged atmosphere.
