Series NCIS — 1 season, 7 episode

Story

At a Naval base, investigators confront a disturbing discovery: a decomposed body submerged in a tub of acid. The condition of the remains makes identification difficult, yet the early evidence points to a submariner. A deeper mystery quickly emerges when no report can be found for a missing member of any submarine crew.

As the case develops, Ducky and Abby examine the available clues and work to establish who the victim was, how the death occurred, and why the disappearance went unreported. The investigation draws the team into a tense inquiry shaped by military procedure, hidden information, and the possibility that someone has gone to considerable lengths to conceal the truth.
