George Menglet

In 1930-1933 he studied at CETETHIS (GITIS), then he was an actor of the Studio Theater A.D. Wild. In 1936 he joined the troupe of the Leningrad Bolshoi Drama Theater. In 1937 he went to Dushanbe with a final year (until 1961 - Stalinabad), worked there until 1942. During the Great Patriotic War, was a member of the front brigade, led the First Front Theater of the Tajik SSR. Since 1945 - actor of the Moscow Theater of Satire. Honored Artist of the Tajik SSR (1939). People's Artist of the Tajik SSR (1943). People's Artist of the RSFSR (1956). People's Artist of the USSR (1974).
