Alexander Hunt

Born in 1985 in Khanty-Mansiysk. He graduated from the Faculty of Photography at the St. Petersburg State University of Cinema and Technology (2008, workshop of EA Rozovsky and SV Astakhov) and the directing department of VGIK (2012, workshop of KG Shakhnazarov, OB Schuhera). His short films "In the Opera" (2011) and "Dinner" (2012) won prizes at student film festivals. For her full-length debut “How Vitka Garlic drove Lech Shtyr to the disabled home” (2017), she was awarded the “Nika” award in the category “Discovery of the Year”, the tape also won the Karlovy Vary International Festival “To the East from the West” and won the top prize and three other awards at the Window to Europe festival.
