Sergei Vladimirovich Mikhalkov (February 28 [March 13] 1913, Moscow, Russian Empire - August 27, 2009, ibid.) - Soviet Russian writer, poet, fabulist, playwright, journalist, war correspondent, screenwriter, public figure, author of anthem texts and the Russian Federation, chairman of the Writers 'Union of the RSFSR, and from 1992 to 2008 - chairman of the International Writers' Union. Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1967). The most famous Mikhalkov brought his works for children. Hero of Socialist Labor, laureate of Lenin (1970), three Stalin prizes of the second degree (1941, 1942, 1950) and the State Prize of the USSR (1978), academician of the Russian Academy of Education, holder of the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called.
